On the road with your racing bike... in South Tyrol
Either down in the valley… or high up on one of the mountain pass roads
Gais is situated at an altitude of 840 metres above sea level. It is 5 km from Bruneck/Brunico, the main town of the Puster Valley. This area is still relatively unknown as racing bike territory, but nonetheless part of the very important events like the
TOUR-Transalp or Giro d’Italia will come to our region.
The pre-conditions for racing cycling are ideal: you can ride on a wider road network, along the even valley basins and then up to the pass routes of the Dolomite mountains.
Since 1999, cycling has been part of our hotel programme. At the beginning, we concentrated on mountain bike tourism most of the time. Satisfied guests, great laps in the surrounding area and our own pleasure in biking finally motivated us in 2010 to offer ourselves as a top quality MTB hotel to racing cyclists.
It is a real pleasure to amend our favourite tours for your individual and personal performance level. Anyone who would like to enjoy our beautiful region accompanied by one of our guides and/or a support vehicle, can trust in our partners, the
Outdoor Center Kronplatz/Plan de Corones and
Rent a Sport guiding teams.
We are particularly excited about our team
Karin and Klaus Gruber, who earned us 5 stars! As racing bike guides and personal coaches of the
Sportagentur in Heidelberg , they enjoy training in the Puster Valley and recommend not only the magnificent biking routes and passes in and around the Puster Valley/Dolomite mountains, but they also emphasise the exquisite catering, accommodation and the service of our hotel!
